Dalam laporannya, media ANTARA<\/strong> memberitakan bahwa manajemen PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) menggandeng Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), dan sejumlah lembaga untuk mendeteksi lutut sebagai upaya pencegahan dini terjadinya kelainan pada penderita penyakit thalasemia.<\/p>\n

Koordinator Corporate Social Responsbility (CSR) PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), Suluh Tripambudi Rahardjo melalui keterangan tertulis di Jakarta, Selasa, mengatakan program deteksi ini pada tulang lutut penyandang thalasemia merupakan kegiatan sosial bagi masyarakat.<\/p>\n

Sejumlah lembaga yang terlibat pada kegiatan sosial tersebut, yakni Yayasan Thalasemia Indonesia (YTI), Sahabat Thalasemia Indonesia, serta Perhimpunan Subspesialis Radiologi Anak Indonesia (PSRAI).<\/p>\n

“Acara ini sebagai upaya deteksi dini bagi penyandang thalasemia untuk mencegah risiko kecacatan akibat komplikasi penyakit dan kelainan sendi, serta tulang akibat terapi deferiprone jangka panjang pada penyandang thalasemia mayor,” kata Suluh.<\/p>\n

Suluh mengungkapkan program sosial tersebut selaras dengan gagasan pemerintah mengenai pembangunan berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals\/SDGs) tentang kesehatan yang baik dan kesejahteraan, serta kemitraan untuk mencapai tujuan bersama.<\/p>\n

Anggota PSRAI dan sekaligus dokter pemeriksa, dr Tigor Yehezkiel Sp. Rad, menuturkan thalasemia merupakan penyakit sering terjadi dan menyebar secara masif di Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Tigor mengungkapkan masyarakat membutuhkan biaya tinggi untuk mendeteksi dini kerusakan pada sendi dan tulang akibat komplikasi thalasemia.<\/p>\n

“Alat USG dapat menjadi alternatif pilihan untuk mendeteksi dini kelainan ini dengan sensitivitas serta spesifik tinggi disertai harga yang terjangkau agar masyarakat yang kurang mampu secara ekonomi dapat terbantu,” tutur Tigor.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, Sekretaris pengurus YIIM Dewi Astari mengharapkan program tersebut dapat membantu keluarga dan penyandang thalasemia yang kurang mampu secara ekonomi, mengingat biaya kesehatan pemeriksaan yang sangat mahal dibebankan oleh keluarga penyandang.<\/p>\n

Acara digelar selama dua hari pada 16-17 Oktober 2021 dengan sasaran 50 anak berusia 2-17 tahun penyandang thalasemia mayor melalui pemeriksaan dipimpin dr Tigor Yehezkiel Sp. Rad dan DR Merry T.P Hutagalung.<\/p>\n

Thalasemia adalah kondisi kelainan darah yang diturunkan dari salah satu atau kedua orang tua kepada anak.<\/p>\n

Penderita thalasemia akan mengalami anemia atau kurang darah dengan keluhan, seperti cepat lelah, mudah mengantuk hingga sesak nafas.<\/p>\n
