Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) in collaboration with Bung Karno University (UBK) (UBK) and the Indonesian Development Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) held a financial literacy seminar with the theme “Investment Strategy in Facing the Threat of Economic Recession in 2023” in the Fatmawati Hall of Bung Karno University (UBK) on Jl Kimia No. 20, RT 10\/RW 01, Pegangsaan Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta.<\/p>\n
This event is a form of commitment from PT. Insight Investments Management through a CSR program with the spirit of Transforming Investment for social impact.<\/p>\n
Participants in this event were the academic community at Bung Karno University (UBK), a total of 135 participants consisting of students, female students, lecturers, deans of each study program, vice chancellors I, II, III, and the Chancellor of Bung Karno University (UBK), Didik Suhariyanto<\/p>\n
Before starting the main discussion event in the seminar, training was first held on demo skills of coffee baristas making espresso coffee menus.<\/p>\n
Facilitated by Humam Hasan who is an alumni of the 2018 social entrepreneurship training under PT INSIGHT and YIIM who is also the recipient of a scholarship to study management at the UBK Faculty of Economics in collaboration with YIIM, PT INSIGHT and UBK.<\/p>\n
Apart from that, he was assisted by assistant coach Fransisca Nathalie, owner of the Sasca coffee shop, who is also a 2020 training alumni.<\/p>\n
“In facing the economic recession in 2023, we need to be wiser in planning our finances. One of them is investing in a safe platform,” said Alifah Ghina Maharani, as Deputy Head of Retail Sales PT. Insight Investments Management through its press statement, Thursday (22\/12\/2022)<\/p>\n
Alifah said, PT. INSIGHT is a safe and trustworthy investment management company.<\/p>\n
“What differentiates us from other investment companies is that we invite customers to invest while sharing goodness for the community and the environment, in accordance with our principle of “Transforming Investments to Social Impact” through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. So far we have consistently helped the community through CSR programs throughout the archipelago assisted by YIIM.”<\/p>\n
In his speech, UBK Chancellor Didik Suhariyanto said that it is important for the Bung Karno University (UBK) academic community to strengthen their role in advancing the economy in Indonesia in facing the challenges of the economic recession in 2023.<\/p>\n
“We need to increase economic independence and be able to adapt. Apart from needing to be wiser in planning personal finances and we need to jointly supervise the government and private sector in the ongoing investment process in Indonesia. We hope that the long-standing collaboration between UBK, YIIM and PT INSIGHT can produce useful actions. One of them is through this Seminar.”<\/p>\n
In the context of advancing financial literacy to face the challenges of the economic recession in 2023, it is important for the academic community to take a role in strengthening financial and investment literacy.<\/p>\n
Campuses as educational centers can be agents for educating the public in strengthening financial literacy and investment awareness. Apart from that, the campus can become a center for strengthening investment knowledge among the academic community on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n
This program is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) number 4 regarding quality education, number 8 regarding decent work and economic growth, and number 17 regarding partnerships to achieve the goals.<\/p>\n
