The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Pertamina Training and Consulting are always committed to supporting strengthening community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.<\/p>\n
KBRN, Jakarta: Pertamina’s subsidiary, Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC), is collaborating with the Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) to hold a series of community empowerment to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
The Main Director of PT PTC, Teuku Mirasvi, revealed that on this occasion, his party carried out special training for people with disabilities or disabilities.<\/p>\n
“Especially for those who have impaired function of their limbs or are physically disabled, this is done face to face at Kedai Kopi Inspirasi YIIM. Thank you for organizing this event, this is part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility of PT Pertamina Training and Consulting to make a contribution to society,” said Teuku at Kedai Kopi Inspirasi YIIM, South Jakarta, Saturday (18\/9\/2021).<\/p>\n
Mirasvi said that this event was a series of social entrepreneurship training events which had been held since August 24 2021 with a program in the form of coffee baristas which had been held in 2 batches with a total of 45 participants which was carried out online for five days and six people were selected to take part in face-to-face training for one day.<\/p>\n
Apart from training to become a barista, according to Mirasvi, his party also held frozen food culinary training which was held in two batches with 60 participants online for three days and six people were selected to take part in face-to-face training for one day at the YIIM office.<\/p>\n
“Face-to-face training is carried out with strict health protocols, namely that all participants are required to have a vaccine certificate, then have a negative swab result, wash their hands, use a mask and maintain their distance,” he said.<\/p>\n
Mirasvi added that this program is a form of contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs Number 1, namely reducing poverty and SDGs Number 10 to reduce inequality and SDGs Number 17, namely partnerships to achieve the goals.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro expressed his thanks to PT PTC for the collaboration that had been held.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully this is a good start and coffee baristas are one of YIIM’s flagship programs apart from culinary, barbering, hydroponics, cosmetology and clothing screen printing classes. Hopefully this social program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he said.<\/p>\n
Chrisbiantoro explained that the material taught to coffee barista participants specifically for people with disabilities included an introduction to coffee beans, making espresso base, manual brew V 60, manual espresso using a mokapot, French press manual, Vietnamese drip and brew manual as well as making espresso using a machine and the participants would also be equipped with the ability to make coffee and bottled coffee menus as well as non-coffee drinks.<\/p>\n
“The expected result of this series of programs is that participants are expected to have knowledge, skills and be able to open a MSME coffee shop business or work in a coffee shop to have a positive impact on the participants’ economy,” he said.<\/p>\n
Chrisbiantoro said that the trainers in this program were all alumni of the coffee barista training program which had been held by YIIM since 2018, and one of them, Humam Hasan, the head trainer in this program, was a former resident of the correctional center who was successful as a coffee barista.<\/p>\n
“Then Ponco Sunarto, Siska, Fadila and Hezra. All of them are alumni of YIIM’s barista training empowerment since 2018 which has produced more than 70 coffee baristas,” he said.<\/p>\n
One of the participants with disabilities, Festinalita Theresia Tampubolon, said that the training was very good for increasing her experience and abilities as a coffee barista.<\/p>\n
“Yes, the training was very good, very clear and the presentation from his brother was conveyed well and we were able to practice well. With this training, with his knowledge, maybe I can deepen it further and I can look for work in a coffee shop and when I have studied it, maybe I will open my own business later,” he said.<\/p>\n

Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
