, JAKARTA \u2013 Commemorating Heroes’ Day, Bung Karno University (UBK) (UBK) together with the Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the Bung Karno University (UBK) Rectorate Room on Jalan Pegangsaan Timur No. 17A, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Tuesday (10\/11\/2020).<\/p>\n
In the memorandum of understanding, the two agreed to provide college scholarships to YIIM entrepreneurship training alumni.<\/p>\n
The good news was conveyed by the Chairman of the YIIM Management, Chrisbiantoro.<\/p>\n
He expressed his pride and gratitude for the scholarship award.<\/p>\n
Through the existing collaboration, Chrisbiantoro admits that he is enthusiastic about creating entrepreneurs in the future.<\/p>\n
“We want to bring the experience and spirit at YIIM to students and the academic community at UBK,” said Chrisbiantoro in a written broadcast on Tuesday (10\/11\/2020).<\/p>\n
“UBK is a very important campus, apart from affordable tuition fees, UBK also upholds the spirit of Bung Karno, both in subjects and community relations,” he added.<\/p>\n
Simultaneously, Humam Hasan as one of the scholarship recipients expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given.<\/p>\n
He admitted that he was happy to be able to study at UBK.<\/p>\n
“Hopefully the scholarship and barista skills that I have can spread inspiration and kindness to UBK and the wider community,” he said.<\/p>\n
Apart from Humam Hasan, a former prison resident, Hermansyah also received a scholarship.<\/p>\n
Humam and Hermansyah received scholarships to study management at the Faculty of Economics.<\/p>\n
Both of them are one of the many alumni of entrepreneurship training held by YIIM together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) for the past three years.<\/p>\n
Since the last three years, YIIM has provided entrepreneurship training for correctional clients at the Correctional Center (Bapas) (Bapas), witnesses and victims protected by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) (LPSK).<\/p>\n
Apart from that, unemployment, workers affected by layoffs, people with disabilities, casual workers and other disadvantaged groups.<\/p>\n
The aim of this training is to empower the community’s economy and provide economic competitiveness in small communities.<\/p>\n
The entrepreneurial training developed by YIIM is coffee barista, barber, make-up, culinary, AC cleaning service, clothing screen printing and urban farming.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, UBK Chancellor Dr Didik Suhariyanto, SH, MH conveyed a joint memorandum of understanding between YIIM and UBK valid for the next four years.<\/p>\n
He said that this collaboration was a manifestation of the tridharma of higher education.<\/p>\n
He also hopes that the collaboration that exists can spur the enthusiasm of the UBK community in serving the community.<\/p>\n
“It is hoped that scholarship recipients can contribute to providing coffee and barista entrepreneurship to students and the academic community, hopefully the UBK campus will become more productive and advanced in all respects and more people will study at UBK,” he said.<\/p>\n
