The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) (LPSK) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.<\/p>\n
The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) (LPSK) in collaboration with the Amil Zakat Infaq Shadaqoh Muhammadiyah Institute (Lazismu) and the Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) will distribute psychosocial rehabilitation assistance to victims of LPSK protected crime in Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n
This activity is a form of service that aims to restore the social function of victims so they can interact properly in their social environment, in the form of business capital assistance, business development training, education and employment.<\/p>\n
“Psychosocial services at LPSK have their own challenges. Even though they are mandated by law, in practice LPSK cannot run them alone. LPSK is required to be able to work together, map existing social programs in related agencies or institutions, both government and non-government,” said LPSK Chairman Hasto Atmojo Suroyo in a written statement in Jakarta, Thursday.<\/p>\n
LPSK, through Lazismu’s support, will implement a psychosocial program in the form of business capital, educational scholarships and medical expenses for two victims of domestic violence and four victims of serious abuse.<\/p>\n
Apart from that, Lazismu will also symbolically hand over 1000 food security aid packages in the form of canned food which will be given to victims in the Yogyakarta, East Java, Central Java, West Java and Jakarta areas.<\/p>\n
This psychosocial program will be implemented simultaneously with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between LPSK and Lazismu regarding the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Assistance Program for LPSK Protected Crime Victims.<\/p>\n
The signing will be carried out by LPSK Deputy Chair Maneger Nasution and Lazismu Chair Hilman Latief witnessed by Hasto and LPSK Deputy Chair Susilaningtias.<\/p>\n
The collaboration between LPSK and YIIM will be carried out by holding economic empowerment training in the form of urban agricultural skills for the victims.<\/p>\n
The training was in the form of a workshop on tabulampot (a method of cultivating fruit plants in pots) and practical compost making. This activity will be guided by YIIM Director Chrisbiantoro and will be attended by 25 victims from the Yogyakarta and Surakarta areas.<\/p>\n
It is hoped that this economic empowerment workshop will help participants or victims have the skills to use small plots of land to grow crops, where the results can be consumed for household needs or sold to increase income.<\/p>\n
The training will take place for two consecutive days, namely 22 to 23 October 2020.<\/p>\n
Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
