The distribution of aid was expressed by the Chairman of YIIM Management, Chrisbiantoro, referring to the minimal availability of PPE for medical personnel.<\/p>\n
The reason is, he said that the shortage of PPE was the main trigger for the infection of medical personnel who were currently treating positive corona virus patients.<\/p>\n
It was recorded, he continued, that the number of positive corona cases in Indonesia reached 3,512 people, 306 people died and 282 people recovered as of Friday (10\/4\/2020).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, based on official government data as of April 6 2020, 30 medical personnel had died due to the corona virus.<\/p>\n
He said this condition was very worrying.<\/p>\n
Considering that the profession of medical personnel is really needed and is at the forefront in handling corona virus cases.<\/p>\n
“We continue to try to help as much as possible. This time, the assistance provided is 1000 PPE provided through the CT ARSA Foundation,” said Chrisbiantoro in a written broadcast on Saturday (11\/4\/2020).<\/p>\n
He continued, the PPE assistance will be distributed to a number of referral hospitals for corona virus patients in DKI Jakarta.<\/p>\n
These hospitals include Cipto Mangunkusumo Central General Hospital (RSUP), Sulianti Saroso Hospital, Sumber Waras Hospital, National Brain Center Hospital and Persahabatan Hospital.<\/p>\n
At the same time, YIIM and PT Insight Investment Management also distributed cash assistance worth IDR 100 million.<\/p>\n
The assistance that will be used to procure PPE is channeled through the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI).<\/p>\n
Apart from that, the aid that was also distributed included 120 rice boxes for volunteers and 100 t-shirts for change of clothes for South Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) volunteers.<\/p>\n
Then procure 5,000 cloth masks which were ordered through MSME tailors and will be distributed to underprivileged communities and informal workers.<\/p>\n
“We also distributed 280 packages of packaged rice and 120 packages of basic necessities and vitamin C to the community and informal workers affected by corona in the Jakarta and Depok areas,” said Chrisbiantoro.<\/p>\n
“We hope that the assistance we provide will be useful for medical personnel, especially those on the front line, as well as affected communities in general,” he explained.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Insight Investments Management Representative, Suluh T Rahardjo hopes that all components of the nation can work together to fight the corona virus.<\/p>\n
According to him, dealing with the corona virus pandemic is not only limited to the government, but is also the responsibility of all parties.<\/p>\n
“This assistance is a form of our commitment to work together with other components of the nation to tackle Covid 19,” said Suluh T Rahardjo.<\/p>\n
“I hope that the steps we are taking can inspire a number of other elements to play an active role in fighting the corona virus, including easing the burden on underprivileged communities during the outbreak,” he concluded.<\/p>\n
