YIIM has distributed aid worth Rp. 30 million through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) South Jakarta Municipality. This assistance will be used to procure disinfectant liquid for spraying places of worship and public facilities. Apart from that, YIIM also distributed assistance to overcome Covid-19 through the National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) amounting to Rp. 20 million.<\/p>\n
On the same occasion, PT Insight Investment Management, as YIIM’s main partner, also distributed assistance for dealing with Covid-19 amounting to Rp. 100 million to the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) and the Al Maghfirah Foundation. The spread of the corona virus is increasingly widespread. As of March 24 2020, the number of positive corona patients in Indonesia had reached 686 people, of which 55 people died, and 30 patients were declared cured. Apart from that, six doctors and a number of nurses also died due to being infected with this virus. This is due to the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel and due to the continued increase in the number of patients, which drains the stamina of medical personnel which leads to a decrease in endurance (immunity). “We are called to work together with all components of the nation, both the government and the private sector, to work together to overcome the spread of Covid-19,” said the Chairman of the YIIM Board, Chrisbiantoro, in a written statement, Wednesday (25\/3). “Now is no longer the time to blame each other, but it is time for everyone to strengthen solidarity and solidarity so that the corona virus can be contained as quickly as possible and prevented from spreading further,” he added. Budy Cahaya, a representative of PT. Insight Investment Management, which is contributing to tackling the corona virus outbreak which is increasingly widespread in Indonesia. “We as a company in the financial investment sector are called to work together to tackle the spread of the corona virus, hopefully our assistance will be useful in preventing the corona virus,” he said.<\/p>\n
YIIM as a non-profit organization views that mutual cooperation is the implementation of protecting the right to health of all citizens of the nation. YIIM, through one of its superior programs, namely social and humanitarian, does not want to be left behind in working together to overcome corona. YIIM’s commitment, is in line with the provisions of the International Covenant for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Article 12 paragraph 2. The countries participating in this agreement recognize the right of everyone to enjoy the highest attainable standards of physical and spiritual health.<\/p>\n
