The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with the Central Jakarta Class I Fathers are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.<\/p>\n
People’s love for coffee is very high. The recent emergence of cafes and coffee shops is considered the most profitable business today. By seeing such trends, the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) provides training to inmates at the Central Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas).<\/p>\n
Head of the Central Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas) (BAPAS), Heru Prasetyo, said this program was very good for equipping inmates to return to society.<\/p>\n
“This program is very useful and can be a good model,” said Heru in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18 2020.<\/p>\n
The participants who attended expressed their excitement and hope that in the future they could start a business in the coffee sector to improve their standard of living.<\/p>\n
For three days, the material presented by the trainer and assistant trainers revolved around the theory of recognizing types of coffee, barista equipment, experience as a barista and practice of making coffee with various variants.<\/p>\n
The barista training program is one of YIIM’s flagship programs and will be implemented in several stages, namely training for three days, then training participants will be selected again to be included in an internship program for two months and coaching for two months.<\/p>\n
In the coaching and internship program, participants who get the opportunity will learn directly to make various coffees and learn to serve consumers in the cafe which has been a place for barista training at YIIM.<\/p>\n
Chairman of the YIIM Management, Chrisbiantoro, said that his party was present and consistent in helping the wider community, especially those who were socially and economically disadvantaged, to have jobs and a better future.<\/p>\n
“YIIM’s programs, especially economic empowerment, are always in line with sustainable development or sustainable development goals (SDGS), especially reducing poverty and improving the economy of residents,” he said.<\/p>\n
