On Friday, July 28, 2023, YIIM together with PT Insight Investments Management again held entrepreneurship management training that took place from 08.30 to 11.30 WIB. This program is in collaboration with the Class I State Detention Center (Rutan) Pondok Bambu, located at Jl. Pahlawan Revolusi No.38, RT.4\/RW.3, Pd. Bambu, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta City, Special Capital Region of Jakarta.<\/p>\n
This activity is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 on eradicating poverty, Number 8 on decent work and economic growth, and Number 17 on partnerships to achieve the goals.<\/p>\n
The training was attended by 29 participants from the correctional inmates of Pondok Bambu Detention Center. The entrepreneurship management training was guided by a moderator, Romadhona Putri Wulandari, a YIIM staff member. The entrepreneurship management training included two materials: Simple Financial Bookkeeping for MSMEs, presented by Riccana Rosita, YIIM Treasurer. This material explained how to calculate the Cost of Goods Sold (HPP) to MSME financial management. The training then continued with the material on Business Innovation and Offline as well as Digital Marketing Strategies, presented by Muhammad Rajib Rakatirta, Marketing Communication Officer at PT Insight Investments Management. This material explained the basics of marketing, including how to market offline and digitally.<\/p>\n
After the entrepreneurship management training was completed, the next series of events was the closing of the social entrepreneurship training program organized by YIIM and INSIGHT at the Class I Pondok Bambu Detention Center. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kuswanto as the Head of Management Section (KASI Pengelolaan), Mr. Isnaeni Setiawan as CSR Coordinator of PT Insight Investments Management, and Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chairman of YIIM.<\/p>\n
In his closing remarks, Kuswanto as the Head of Management Section said,<\/p>\n
“I would like to express my gratitude to YIIM and INSIGHT for being willing to hold this training, which I believe is the most appropriate training to be held here. Because the training participants are very serious in carrying out the training. There are various kinds of training such as cooking, sewing, salon, that is truly extraordinary. My hope for the future is that this training can be useful for all of you as provision for later, and hopefully there will be follow-up training.”<\/em><\/p>\n Then Isnaeni Setiawan, CSR Coordinator at PT Insight Investments Management, said in his remarks that, “We hope this training can ideally be sustainable, just like Insight which manages its mutual funds and has a CSR fund allocation to provide programs like this. We hope that after this activity is completed, I and YIIM will evaluate again what is good, what we will continue, and what we will not continue.”<\/p>\n And lastly, in his closing remarks, Chrisbiantoro as Chairman of YIIM stated, “Congratulations once again to these extraordinary participants. Hopefully what all participants have gained will be useful. Knowledge will be lost if it is not developed. We hope that after the guidance period at the detention center ends, this knowledge can be developed and practiced in the community. For those who are still here, do not be discouraged. Start making your days productive. When you later leave here, let us make that knowledge a personal asset that is beneficial to society, family, and yourself. The image of correctional inmates will also become better.”<\/p>\n This program is also part of the commitment of YIIM and INSIGHT to support the government’s program to create productive detention centers and equip inmates with various skills. The hope is that this program can inspire a broader range of parties who care about economic and social empowerment in the Detention Center, thereby breaking the chain of potential crime in criminal acts.<\/p>\n YIIM is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from various backgrounds, founded by social and humanitarian activists.
