On Monday, 21 November 2022, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by PT. Insight Investements Management (INSIGHT), held a humanitarian social program to provide prosthetic leg assistance and AC cleaning equipment for underprivileged friends with disabilities.<\/p>\n
The assistance was delivered directly by Mr. Chaidir, a representative of INSIGHT, to Mr. Deny Haripurnama (47 years old) at his residence located at Jl. Cipinang Kebembem RT 06 \/ RW 10 No. 2, Pisangan Timur, East Jakarta. Mr. Deny previously worked in AC service and cleaning; in 2021, however, diabetes required his leg to be amputated. Mr. Deny has six dependents: five children and his wife. To support her husband, his wife works as a domestic helper (ART).<\/p>\n
Since one of his legs was amputated, he has been unable to carry out normal activities and return to work because of the difficulty in purchasing a custom prosthetic leg fitted to his size. The condition of the prosthetic leg he previously had did not have the right size, making it impossible to use for normal activities. In addition, the previous prosthetic leg weighed about 2 kg, which sometimes caused wounds on the amputated limb.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, Mr. Chaidir said, \u201cWe hope that this assistance in the form of a prosthetic leg and AC cleaning equipment will be useful for Mr. Deny and his family, so that Mr. Deny can return to his activities and work again. This assistance is a form of support from INSIGHT investors, entrusted to YIIM to help people in need.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Deny also said, \u201cThank you to YIIM and INSIGHT for the assistance provided. Thanks to this support, I can now go about my activities comfortably again. May YIIM and INSIGHT continue to succeed and keep spreading inspiration to help other less fortunate friends with disabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n
This assistance program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Number 1 on ending poverty and Number 3 on good health and well-being. YIIM is very open to anyone who wishes to support other social programs.<\/p>\n
