The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM), supported by Insight Investments Management, is again providing a learning space for the younger generation through YIIM Webinar Series 3 with the theme “Building Financial Foundations from an Early Age.”<\/em> This activity, which was held online on March 12 2026, presented Riva Kusumo as a resource person who shared insights about the importance of financial literacy for the younger generation.<\/p>\n

Through this session, participants are invited to understand how good financial management can be an important foundation in building a more stable future. Riva emphasized that financial literacy is not only related to saving or investing, but also understanding how to manage income and expenses wisely.<\/p>\n

In her presentation, Riva explained the importance of the concept of delay of gratification<\/em>, namely the ability to delay pleasure now for the sake of greater financial goals in the future. Apart from that, he also highlighted the importance of managing cash flow as a basic step so that individuals can manage their finances in a more planned manner.<\/p>\n

Riva also introduced various roles in the investment management industry, such as institutional dealer, sales trader, and investment specialist. He explained that the financial industry has various interesting career opportunities, but also requires a good understanding of the world of investment and continuous competency development.<\/p>\n

Apart from that, participants also got an overview of the importance of professional certification in the financial sector, such as Certified Financial Planner<\/em> (CFP) and Qualified Wealth Planner<\/em> (QWP), which can be an added value for individuals who want to pursue a career in the financial and investment sector.<\/p>\n

This webinar was attended by 33 participants from various backgrounds, with the majority being students and young people who are preparing to enter the world of work. Throughout the activity, participants showed high enthusiasm through interactive discussions and question and answer sessions with resource persons, which were used to dig deeper into personal financial management and career opportunities in the financial industry.<\/p>\n

Through this activity, YIIM hopes that the younger generation can better understand the importance of building a financial foundation from an early age, so they are able to make wiser financial decisions and prepare for a better future.<\/p>\n
