YIIM’s Notes in 2021<\/p>\n
After many obstacles and trials in 2020, many hoped that 2021 would be a year of revival. A year full of hope and joy. In reality, perhaps it wasn’t that good.<\/p>\n
But it wasn’t that bad either.<\/p>\n
There were still obstacles and trials, but we always believe that Indonesia is strong. We believe that solidarity and brotherhood allow many things to be overcome together. We believe that inspiration will always exist.<\/p>\n
Throughout 2021, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM) together with its supporting partners successfully conducted 81 programs across 12 provinces, reaching a total of 7165 beneficiaries. Through the three main pillars of YIIM’s programs, namely Education, Community Economic Empowerment, and Social Humanitarian & Religious Affairs, YIIM hopes that the benefits spread will continue to grow and cultivate even greater inspiration.<\/p>\n
Education Program<\/p>\n
Under the Education pillar, YIIM has held 19 programs, providing benefits to 739 beneficiaries. The programs and inspiration spread through these educational initiatives included assistance with educational tools, scholarships, and public webinars.<\/p>\n
The transition from learning from home to face-to-face learning required children to be re-prepared for everything at school. This made educational tool assistance the most common type of aid among the three types provided.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students continue to be provided to ensure access for those who have a passion for pursuing education but are hindered by various factors.<\/p>\n
Social Humanitarian and Religious Program<\/p>\n
Under the Social Humanitarian and Religious pillar, the number of beneficiaries reached 4328 individuals. YIIM continues to provide assistance to Indonesians affected by Covid-19, both in terms of health and economy. Not only to those affected by Covid-19, but also in general to vulnerable communities in need of greater attention and support.<\/p>\n
Assistance was also provided to victims of natural disasters. Considering the significant number of natural disasters in early 2021, a considerable amount of humanitarian aid was also distributed to natural disaster victims.<\/p>\n
The dissemination of inspiration and humanitarian assistance from social, humanitarian, and religious perspectives did not stop there. YIIM also partnered with Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) and Orphanages. The aid provided there included religious items, basic food necessities, and other daily needs.<\/p>\n
Community Economic Empowerment Program<\/p>\n
On the other hand, under the Community Economic Empowerment pillar, there were 2098 beneficiaries who participated in the programs and received benefits. The programs under this pillar generally aim to build an empowered economy for communities that lack access to economic independence.<\/p>\n
Through 31 programs, three types of initiatives were conducted under this pillar: regional economic empowerment, social entrepreneurship training & coaching, and public webinars on social entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
These programs all aim to strengthen the economies of communities, both urban and rural. YIIM believes that through the training and programs implemented, individual economic empowerment can help the country as a whole.<\/p>\n
YIIM’s Next Steps in 2022<\/p>\n
All the programs and assistance distributed by YIIM would not be possible without the help of many partners and donors who generously support YIIM. We express our gratitude to all who have supported us. In 2022, these efforts certainly won’t stop; there is still much inspiration to be spread and many paths to be bridged.<\/p>\n
For the wider community, whether private legal entities, state institutions, or philanthropic individuals, who wish to join YIIM in spreading inspiration, the opportunity is always wide open. Not only material support, but moral support and manpower can also continuously help us.<\/p>\n
