Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals<\/p>\n
In ensuring the equity of a self-reliant economy, the Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun Foundation (YIIM), supported by PT. Insight Investments Management, provides entrepreneurship training for vulnerable communities, including those who have experienced layoffs, particularly pre-prosperous individuals.<\/p>\n
This initiative is certainly carried out by YIIM and PT. Insight Investments Management to help realize the achievement of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) number 1, namely poverty alleviation. Quite a number of entrepreneurship training alumni have been produced by this program, one of whom is Riki Ramdani.<\/p>\n
The aspiration for economic independence<\/p>\n
Riki Ramdani received information about entrepreneurship training at a time that can be described as timely. After being laid off from his office due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Riki tried various things to sustain his livelihood.<\/p>\n
Being the sixth of seven siblings did not stop him from relying on his older siblings. Riki’s aspiration to be independent and also help his family, who come from a pre-prosperous background, is something he has always held close.<\/p>\n
After completing the training in 2019, Riki was selected for an internship at Kopi Inspirasi. Not only did he gain more experience in coffee brewing, but together with colleagues from Kopi Inspirasi and YIIM, Riki also served as an assistant trainer for entrepreneurship training and volunteered in YIIM’s social programs.<\/p>\n
Building a career as a barista<\/p>\n
After completing his internship at Kopi Inspirasi, Riki had the desire to start his own coffee business. However, certain circumstances forced him to choose between starting a business or first working as a barista.<\/p>\n
Armed with the knowledge and experience gained at YIIM, Riki decided to work at someone else’s caf\u00e9 first. He did this to continue to broaden his knowledge and experience. He already had several entrepreneurial ideas, but he decided to keep learning to refine his plans.<\/p>\n
Now, Riki has been recruited and entrusted to be a barista at a coffee shop called “BLAU Eatery & Coffee” located at Jl. Pelepah Elok 1 QA2\/7, Kelapa Gading Barat, North Jakarta. While also working as a freelancer on several tasks offered by his friends, Riki currently earns around 4-5 million rupiah per month.<\/p>\n
Economic independence can certainly be achieved through various means. It is always possible for anyone who is willing to work hard and continuously expand their knowledge.<\/p>\n
