Jakarta \u2013 PT Pertamina Training & Consulting (PTC) through its Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental (CSR\/ESG) scheme, together with the Inspirational Indonesia Development Foundation (YIIM), provided business capital assistance in the form of tools for alumni of entrepreneurship classes in Coffee Barista, Frozen Food Culinary, and hydroponic organic vegetable cultivation.<\/p>\n
These 3 (three) skills training programs began on August 27, 2021 and concluded on October 1, 2021, conducted both online and offline, with a total of 124 participants selected from 18,047 registered applicants. The 124 participants consisted of 17 hydroponic training participants, 62 coffee barista training participants, and 45 frozen food training participants.<\/p>\n

The beneficiaries of this program are individuals from pre-prosperous backgrounds, groups of housewives, people with disabilities who are unemployed, workers affected by layoffs, former prison inmates (ex-correctional residents), out-of-school youth, and pre-prosperous families. This program is also a concrete manifestation in supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in the categories of Climate Action and Economic Growth.<\/p>\n
As the grand finale and closing event for this series of training programs, the handover of grant assistance in the form of business capital tools to alumni of the Social Entrepreneurship training participants was officially held at the PT Pertamina Training & Consulting Office, Petojo Selatan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (12\/8).<\/p>\n
Symbolically, PTC and YIIM as implementing partners handed over business capital tool grants to 18 participants, consisting of 6 frozen food business capital tool grant packages including freezers, vacuum food sealers, expiration date coding machines, blenders, and stoves; 4 coffee barista business capital tool grant packages; and 8 hydroponic farming tool grant packages, each consisting of 5 sets of PVC pipe installations, water pumps, buckets, netpots, pH meters, TDS meters, rockwool, nutrients, and vegetable seeds.<\/p>\n
The symbolic handover took place on December 08, 2021, attended directly by Teuku Mirasfi as the President Director of PT Pertamina Training & Consulting along with the entire PTC board of directors, Dian Hapsari Firasati as Acting VP of CSR & SMEPP at PT Pertamina (Persero), and Chrisbiantoro as the Chairman of the Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) Board.<\/p>\n
The event was also attended by 11 beneficiaries representing the coffee barista, hydroponic, and frozen food culinary classes. Additionally, testimonials were given about the benefits of the training for their ventures by Mrs. Ambar Yuliasiwi (who started a frozen food business), Aries Andriyanto (a person with disability who started a coffee business), and Budi from the Indonesian Independent Disability Foundation (YDMI) who has begun actively cultivating organic hydroponic vegetables.<\/p>\n
In his speech, Teuku Mirasfi stated, “This event is part of the series of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental (CSR\/ESG) activities of PT Pertamina Training & Consulting by providing social entrepreneurship training. To close this program, we are granting business capital tool assistance for frozen food, coffee barista, and hydroponic. We hope that this assistance can be utilized as best as possible to develop entrepreneurship and help all of you in strengthening family economies amidst the difficult economic conditions due to the pandemic.”<\/p>\n
Adding to the messages in the speech, Dian Hapsari Firasati, as Acting VP of CSR & SMEPP at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated, “The beneficiaries of this program are subjects, not objects, so they must innovate and develop their businesses to improve their welfare. This program is not charity but an empowerment program which is expected to help beneficiaries sustainably through the businesses they pursue.”<\/p>\n
Currently, there are already 21 training alumni who have begun applying the knowledge gained during the training: some have started their own small independent businesses, some have made business innovations, and some beneficiaries have started working as coffee baristas to gain experience. This entrepreneurship training is aligned and in sync with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 1, 2, 8, 10, and 17, which have been stipulated by the government into Presidential Regulation Number 59 of 2017 concerning the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal Achievement.<\/p>\n
In the same occasion, Chrisbiantoro, as the Chairman of the YIIM Board, expressed gratitude for the successful implementation of the social entrepreneurship training program, saying, “Thank you to Pertamina and PTC for helping beneficiaries from diverse backgrounds through the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental program. Hopefully, we can help more pre-prosperous people, the less fortunate, and persons with disabilities through empowerment.”<\/p>\n
Through the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental (CSR\/ESG) scheme, PT Pertamina Training & Consulting, in partnership with the Inspirational Indonesia Development Foundation (YIIM), is empowering communities to achieve family economic independence through entrepreneurship. In addition to training, selected best participants who have gone through various processes received a grant package of business capital equipment for 18 alumni of the training participants.<\/p>\n
