On June 22, 2021, Regita Cahyani, an alumna of the makeup artistry training organized by Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and founder of the GITACSM beauty service, conducted an online makeup entrepreneurship training for the public.<\/p>\n
Regita graduated from the second batch of makeup training in 2020, held by YIIM in collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) and Revlon. Her dedication and successful venture have served as an inspiring model of micro-enterprise development.<\/p>\n
Given her certified technical skills, Regita was previously entrusted by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to serve as a vocational trainer for protected victims of the Bali bombings in Denpasar, Bali, an economic recovery program carried out in partnership with the Bali Provincial Government.<\/p>\n
This online training reflected the dedication of entrepreneurship alumni to give back to the community amidst the hardships of the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative embodies empowerment sustainability, ensuring that training benefits do not conclude upon graduation but are continually shared with the public, particularly those affected by employment termination (PHK) and economic slowdowns.<\/p>\n
Organized with the support of YIIM via Zoom Meeting, the workshop brought together 9 participants from diverse backgrounds, including homemakers, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in beauty services.<\/p>\n
Spanning three hours from 13:00 to 15:00 WIB, the session covered professional cosmetic kits and tool functions, followed by practical makeup demonstrations. Participants actively participated in discussions; one attendee, Nartini, asked about strategic approaches to launching a makeup service business during the pandemic. Regita also opened post-training mentorship opportunities for participants eager to further hone their craft.<\/p>\n
Regita’s initiative exemplifies the core principles of Social Enterprise, harmonizing commercial enterprise (profit) with community social impact (benefit). This effort fosters economic resilience while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1: No Poverty and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities.<\/p>\n
