{"id":9879,"date":"2020-11-12T14:14:23","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T07:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yiim.or.id\/national-heroes-day-webinar-on-fostering-self-reliance-and-human-capital-development\/"},"modified":"2020-11-12T14:14:23","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T07:14:23","slug":"national-heroes-day-webinar-on-fostering-self-reliance-and-human-capital-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yiim.or.id\/en\/national-heroes-day-webinar-on-fostering-self-reliance-and-human-capital-development\/","title":{"rendered":"National Heroes Day Webinar on Fostering Self-Reliance and Human Capital Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In commemoration of National Heroes&#8217; Day on November 10, 2020, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), in partnership with Bung Karno University (UBK), organized an inspiring public webinar themed &quot;Realizing Self-Reliance and Superior Human Resources in the Spirit of Bung Karno&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The educational webinar was attended by 50 participants representing diverse backgrounds, including university students, educators, members of the general public, and alumni of YIIM&#8217;s vocational entrepreneurship incubation programs.<\/p>\n<p>This event marked a concrete milestone following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between YIIM and UBK to award full undergraduate (Bachelor&#8217;s Degree) academic scholarships to YIIM vocational alumni, namely Humam Hasan (Coffee Barista training alumnus) and Hermansyah (Barbershop training alumnus).<\/p>\n<p>The webinar was officially inaugurated by Suluh T Rahardjo, representing PT Insight Investments Management, who remarked: &quot;Bung Karno stood at the forefront of humanitarian values, and his revolutionary spirit must be translated into tangible human resource development. Exceptional human capital serves as the supreme foundation of sustainable national progress.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Suluh added: &quot;We hope this discussion brings widespread insight and inspiration to empower the nation. Wishing everyone an enriching dialogue.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Following the opening session, UBK scholarship recipient Humam Hasan shared his heartfelt testimony: &quot;I express my deepest gratitude to YIIM, Bung Karno University, and all supporters for granting me this transformative opportunity. I pray that the knowledge I acquire will be devoted to my professional career and uplift my local community.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The academic presentations commenced with Dr. Didik Suhariyanto, S.H., M.H., Rector of UBK, who stressed the necessity of resilience: &quot;Superior human resources must possess solid scientific knowledge paired with an unshakable mindset to build economic enterprises rooted in self-reliance, enabling them to compete effectively in modern economic dynamics.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The second keynote speaker, Habib Syakur Ali Mahdi Alhamid, Initiator of Gerakan Nurani Kebangsaan (GNK), noted: &quot;As a proud nation, we must possess unwavering faith in our ability to stand on our own feet (*berdikari*), anchored by our rich spiritual and moral heritage as our greatest asset.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>YIIM Chairperson Chrisbiantoro, S.H., LL.M., emphasized that self-reliance is fundamentally about equity: &quot;Economic self-reliance must touch every stratum of our society, particularly underprivileged groups. This vision aligns perfectly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its guiding tenet of &#8216;No One Left Behind&#8217;.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Chrisbiantoro explained YIIM&#8217;s practical approach: &quot;YIIM brings the spirit of berdikari to life through hands-on entrepreneurship training and initial business startup capital.
