Ramadan assistance at Pondok Yatama Annur in West Jakarta

On Wednesday, 3 April 2024, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, delivered GEMPITA Ramadan assistance to orphans and children from low-income families at Pondok Yatama Annur in West Jakarta.

The assistance included 100 takjil packages, 100 boxed meals, and 100 cups of Emphatee Coffee milk coffee for the communal iftar. Thirty worship-equipment packages containing sarongs, prayer garments, prayer mats, and caps were also distributed, while 28 orphaned and disadvantaged students received financial assistance.

The activity was attended by YIIM program staff, students from the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association, Pondok Yatama Annur managers, participating children, and residents from the surrounding area.

A representative of Pondok Yatama Annur thanked YIIM and Insight for paying attention to the institution and providing the assistance. The representative expressed hope that the collaboration would continue in the future.

The activity formed part of the 2024 GEMPITA Ramadan series conducted across Jakarta, Depok, Bekasi, Yogyakarta, and Madura. Assistance delivered through the series included iftar meals, takjil, financial support, staple foods, worship equipment, free air-conditioning cleaning and service at mosques, boarding schools, and orphanages, and free haircuts.

By combining food, religious equipment, and direct financial assistance, the program responded to several immediate needs of the children and their institution during Ramadan. It contributes to SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

Salam Inspirasi!
