Gempita Ramadan Supports 150 Families in Kebayoran Lama
YIIM and Insight distributed essential-food packages to 150 low-income families while program alumni provided free haircuts and mosque AC maintenance.

On Saturday, 6 April 2024, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management continued their GEMPITA Ramadan program by distributing staple-food packages to low-income families through the Welfare Board of Masjid Raya Al Insan.
The activity was held in the mosque hall on Jalan Patal Senayan 1, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. After registration, the event opened with a Quran recitation. A total of 150 families received staple-food packages to help them prepare for Eid al-Fitr.
Ari Kuncoro, Chair of the mosque’s Welfare Board, explained that Ramadan food assistance was an annual activity for disadvantaged families. He thanked YIIM and Insight for entrusting the support to the mosque and hoped the packages would benefit recipients and bring blessings to the donors.
The distribution formed part of YIIM’s Social, Humanitarian, and Religious program and represented Insight’s corporate social and environmental responsibility commitment to supporting disadvantaged residents in Kebayoran Lama.
The partnership had also carried out service activities at the same mosque on 28 March 2024. Gusti Darmawan, an alumnus of YIIM and Insight’s barber training, provided free haircuts to eight students from Pesantren Quran Al-Insan Ibnu Mas’ud. Bambang Setiadji, an alumnus of the air-conditioning service course, helped clean and service the mosque’s air-conditioning units. Their involvement demonstrated how training alumni could return their skills to the community through humanitarian and religious service.
The initiative contributes to SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Through food assistance and alumni-led services, YIIM and Insight sought both to ease immediate needs and inspire continued mutual support.
Salam Inspirasi!
