Free haircut and iftar activity at Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi

On Thursday, 13 March 2025, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, delivered iftar packages and free haircuts through the GEMPITA Ramadan program at Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi.

Two alumni of YIIM and Insight’s barber training contributed their skills: Ageng Patmoko, a 2019 alumnus, and Budi Saputra, who completed the course in 2024.

Yayasan Bina Anak Pertiwi supported 318 active children between five and 18 years old. Most lived with their families, while eight children resided at the foundation.

The children queued enthusiastically to have their hair cut, and residents from the surrounding area also joined the service. Alumni participation demonstrated how vocational training could create a continuing social benefit when graduates returned their skills to communities in need.

YIIM and Insight also distributed 50 iftar packages, each containing takjil and a main meal, to participating children and nearby residents.

The activity addressed immediate food and personal-care needs while strengthening links among the foundation, vocational alumni, YIIM, Insight, and the local community. It also provided a positive Ramadan experience for children receiving support from Bina Anak Pertiwi.

The program contributes to SDG 2: Zero Hunger. YIIM and Insight hoped the initiative would inspire broader participation in sharing assistance with vulnerable groups in communities across Indonesia.

Salam Inspirasi!
