The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with the Central Jakarta Class I Fathers are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

Residents of Central Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas) I, the unemployed, casual workers, housewives and urban poor groups are trained to be independent. After being taught yesterday to make coffee, this time they were trained to make chicken noodles.

Secretary of the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation, Dewi Astari, said that through the skills training held, people can create a society that is creative, innovative, independent and has a high work ethic and is able to give birth to superior entrepreneurs.

“We are committed to assisting and delivering poor community groups to become competitive communities based on local resources,” said Dewi, Friday 28 February 2020.

One of the participants named Noviyanti, from residents assisted by the Central Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas), expressed her hope of participating in the training.

“I am grateful to be able to take part in this training, because I want to return to society armed with skills so that I can be independent,” said Di.

Novi hopes to become a chicken noodle seller in the community and be able to meet his daily needs. Another participant, Sri Wahyuni, as a housewife who supports two children, stated that the noodle making training was very useful.

“It’s useful for me as a housewife who doesn’t work, because I have health problems. However, I still have to cover the needs of 2 children who have to be supported,” she said.

This cooking training is a superior program that is regularly held by YIIM to inspire people to become independent, creative and productive people as well as to become an economic movement that supports sustainable development (sustainable development goals), including in terms of alleviating pollution.

Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
