On Monday, 1 April 2024, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), supported by PT Insight Investments Management, delivered GEMPITA Ramadan assistance to orphans and children from low-income families at Fajar Cendekia Islamic Boarding School.

The activity was held at the school on Jalan H. Misan No. 28, Jatiluhur, Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java. Sixty students attended together with Riccana Rosita, Treasurer of YIIM, and Ustad Juanda, representing the school’s management.

The partners provided 100 takjil packages, 100 boxed meals, 100 cups of Emphatee Coffee milk coffee, and 100 cups of tea for the communal iftar. The school also received a staple-food package containing sugar, cooking oil, rice, instant noodles, soy sauce, soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, snacks, and other essentials.

Twenty worship-equipment packages containing sarongs, prayer garments, prayer mats, and caps were distributed. Twenty orphaned and disadvantaged students also received financial assistance.

Riccana Rosita explained that YIIM and Insight routinely organized Ramadan social programs to support people in need. She hoped that, although limited, the assistance would help meet basic needs at Fajar Cendekia.

Ustad Juanda thanked YIIM and Insight on behalf of the school and said the support would be highly beneficial for its daily needs.

The activity formed part of a wider GEMPITA Ramadan series conducted in Jakarta, Depok, Bekasi, Yogyakarta, and Madura. Assistance across the series included meals, takjil, financial support, staple foods, worship equipment, free air-conditioning cleaning and servicing at mosques, boarding schools, and orphanages, and free haircuts.

The program contributes to SDG 2: Zero Hunger by providing food and essential support to children and institutions serving vulnerable communities.
