Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management continued the Beasiswa Inspirasi education program for students at LPP Polytechnic Yogyakarta. The scholarship formed part of Insight’s corporate social and environmental responsibility commitment to help high-achieving students with limited financial means who also demonstrate active social concern on and beyond campus.

On Tuesday, 17 September 2024, LPP Polytechnic held its 2024/2025 new-student campus orientation at the PT LPP Agro Nusantara Auditorium in Yogyakarta. During the event, Tri Retnoningrum, Head of Service Office 10 at Dana Pensiun Perkebunan, represented the DAPENBUN Board of Directors and symbolically presented scholarships to two selected students.

The recipients were Ananda Putri Novivanesa from the Applied Bachelor’s program in Plantation Management and Azra Samaratul Qolbi from the Applied Bachelor’s program in Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology.

From 2018 through 2024, the partnership provided education scholarships to 22 LPP Polytechnic students. The program’s longer-term impact can be seen in graduates such as Billy Yanuar Fadilla, a scholarship recipient who became the top 2019 graduate of the Diploma 3 Plantation Crop Cultivation program with a grade-point average of 3.91.

Billy later joined PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro. While studying, he also took part in social activities with YIIM, including the 2020 Inspirational Discussion program. His experience demonstrated how financial support, academic achievement, and social engagement could reinforce one another.

YIIM and Insight hoped the scholarships would help develop qualified and competent professionals for Indonesia’s plantation industry. The initiative contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by expanding access for capable students who face economic barriers.

Salam Inspirasi!
