Development of Pondok Pesantren Modern An-Nur Insani in Salatiga

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management supported the construction of An-Nur Insani Modern Islamic Boarding School in Salatiga in collaboration with Yayasan Pendidikan Islam An-Nur Insani.

The program formed part of YIIM’s Social, Humanitarian, and Religious pathway while also expanding access to quality education for orphans and children from low-income families.

Although Salatiga has a predominantly Muslim population, the area had limited access to adequate boarding-school facilities. Students, particularly those from disadvantaged households, lacked sufficient classrooms, worship spaces, and supporting infrastructure for effective learning.

Yayasan Pendidikan Islam An-Nur Insani initiated the new school as a response. The facility is intended to give students a safe and appropriate environment that supports both spiritual and intellectual development.

More than 100 students, teachers, and administrators are expected to benefit, together with surrounding families seeking modern Islamic boarding-school education for their children.

The partnership among YIIM, Insight, and YPI An-Nur Insani aims to open wider access for disadvantaged students. Beyond serving as a place to study, the school will provide character education and contribute to the development of the surrounding community.

The initiative contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education and supports Indonesia’s Asta Cita Mission 4 by providing a healthy, representative learning space that can help young people become more productive. It reflects a commitment to inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable educational facilities.

Salam Inspirasi!
