Financial Literacy Training Strengthens Women’s Household Money Management in Carenang
Fifty-seven PKK cadres learned practical approaches to budgeting, long-term financial planning, financial products, inflation, and socially responsible investing.

On 25 July 2024, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management collaborated with the Carenang District Family Welfare Empowerment Team, TP-PKK, to provide financial-literacy education during the organization’s regular meeting.
The event took place from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Carenang District Office hall in Panenjoan Village, Serang Regency, Banten. Fifty-seven PKK representatives from villages throughout Carenang attended.
Participants and guests included Drs Arif Roikhan, Head of Carenang District; Alvinna Amir, Chair of Carenang TP-PKK; and members of YIIM’s advisory board and staff. The speakers from Insight were Reyhan Adi Nugraha, Retail Sales, Distribution and Business Alliances Associate, and Alifah Ghina Maharani, Deputy Head of Retail Sales.
The program opened with a collective recitation of Surah Yasin. Arif Roikhan thanked YIIM and Insight for contributing financial-literacy material to the regular meeting. He encouraged participants to pay close attention because responsible money management was important to household welfare.
Reyhan presented Financial Literacy Series: Social Impact Investing. The session explained how to organize spending, prepare long-term financial plans, and understand different financial products. It also discussed risks associated with keeping savings entirely in cash, including physical damage and loss of purchasing power through inflation, and introduced safer alternatives.
The training gave PKK cadres practical knowledge they could apply in their households and share through village networks. By connecting personal financial management with informed use of financial products, YIIM, Insight, and TP-PKK sought to strengthen family resilience across Carenang.
Salam Inspirasi!
