New Dormitory Will Provide a Safer Home for Orphans in Ponorogo
YIIM and Insight provided Rp100 million to support construction of a suitable residential dormitory for 30 orphaned and low-income children in Ponorogo.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), through its Social, Humanitarian, and Religious program supported by PT Insight Investments Management, provided construction assistance for an orphan and low-income children’s dormitory in Bulurejo Hamlet, Carangrejo Village, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java.
Construction began on 29 January 2024 and had reached the concrete upper-floor slab stage by 10 July 2024. YIIM and Insight provided Rp100,000,000 in funding to Yayasan Gema Mustika Insani for building materials and the successive stages of construction.
The planned dormitory will accommodate 30 orphaned and disadvantaged children. It is intended to provide appropriate housing that supports their safety and continuity of care while creating a foundation for a better future.
Beyond accommodation, the program aims to develop independence through practical skills and help the children learn to live constructively in a diverse environment across religious and national backgrounds.
Wijiyono, representing Yayasan Gema Mustika Insani, expressed gratitude for the construction assistance. He thanked YIIM and Insight on behalf of the foundation and hoped the support would bring benefit, inspire further kindness, and become a source of good for everyone involved.
The project represents Insight’s corporate social and environmental responsibility commitment and YIIM’s continuing work with vulnerable communities. By investing in a safe residential facility, the partners sought to improve both immediate living conditions and longer-term opportunities for the children.
The initiative contributes to SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Salam Inspirasi!
