The Barista Training Program Batch 1 Level 1 (Basic) and Latte Art Workshop, held on May 29, 2019, forms an ongoing part of the specialized barista empowerment initiative championed by Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM).

In this session, the training engaged 3 (three) alumni from YIIM’s Barista Batch I/2018, most of whom are formerly incarcerated individuals under the guidance of the Correctional Center (Balai Pemasyarakatan / BAPAS).

Furthermore, this program also welcomed punk youths and street youth associated with the Tasawuf Underground community. Through this vocational training, YIIM aspires to unlock new pathways and economic opportunities for participants who are frequently marginalized by mainstream society, yet earnestly require decent employment to sustain their livelihoods.

This initiative directly reflects the foundational vision of YIIM: to extend economic rehabilitation opportunities to marginalized groups often overlooked by both the state and the private sector, empowering motivated individuals with practical vocational skills so they can transform their lives for the better.
