The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Pertamina Training and Consulting are always committed to supporting strengthening community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

PT Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC) together with the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) collaborated to distribute assistance for barista and agricultural business equipment for hydroponic vegetables for alumni participating in entrepreneurship class training.

The handover of the aid was attended by the President Director of PT PTC Teuku Mirasfi along with the entire PTC board of directors, Acting VP CSR&SMEPP PT Pertamina (Persero) Dian Hapsari Firasati and Chairman of the YIIM Management Chrisbiantoro in Central Jakarta, Wednesday.

Mirasfi said that the entrepreneurship training and distribution of aid was a series of PT Pertamina Training and Consulting’s social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) events.

“To close the program, we provided grant assistance for frozen food, coffee barista and hydroponic business equipment,” said Mirasfi.

Mirasfi hopes that this assistance can open and develop training participants in order to strengthen the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dian Hapsari Firasati said that the beneficiaries must innovate and develop businesses to improve welfare after receiving the empowerment assistance.

YIIM Management Chairman Chrisbiantoro appreciated PT Pertamina and PTC for providing assistance to beneficiaries with various backgrounds.

The aid handover event was also attended by 11 beneficiaries. One of them is a housewife who pioneered a frozen food business, Ambar Yuliasiwi and Aries Andriyanto (a person with a disability who started a coffee business) and Budi from the Indonesian Mandiri Disabled Foundation (YDMI).

The assistance distributed included six packages of grant aid for frozen food business capital equipment (freezers, vacuum food sealers, expired code machines, blenders and stoves), four packages of capital equipment for coffee barista businesses, eight packages of equipment for hydroponic farming (five packages of paralon installations, water pumps, buckets, netpots, PH meters, TDS meters, rockwool, nutrients and vegetable seeds).

Before receiving assistance, Pertamina, PTC together with YIIM held training for 124 people out of 18,047 people who registered.

Participants in the activity, which was held from 27 August to 1 October 2021, consisted of 17 hydroponic training participants, 62 coffee barista training participants, and 45 frozen food training participants.

Beneficiaries of the program are people from underprivileged backgrounds, housewives, people with disabilities who don’t have jobs, workers affected by layoffs, former prison residents, young people who have dropped out of school and underprivileged families.

As many as 21 people were recorded as starting to apply their knowledge during the training by starting independent small businesses.

Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
