The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

, JAKARTA – Social service for communities affected by Covid-19 was once again held by the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT).

On this occasion, YIIM distributed a number of aids, including reading books, fairy tales, folk tales, picture books to 32 children assisted by the Future Generation Creative House, Pisangan Village, East Ciputat District, South Tangerang, Banten.

The children, who were known to come from families of scavengers and casual workers, were also given writing equipment, such as pencils and notebooks.

Similar assistance was also distributed to children assisted by Kita Rumpin School which is located in Cibitung Village, Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

“Assistance in the form of reading for children, including fairy tale books, folk tales, educational packages, religious books and basic entrepreneurship aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age,” said YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro in a written broadcast on Tuesday (8/12/2020).

At the same time, his party also distributed aid to 32 fishermen groups, each group consisting of 8 to 10 people located in Cilincing District, North Jakarta.

The assistance provided included hoses, buckets, scoop nets, compressors, compressor hoses, evamats, crab trap nets and anti-slip sandals.

“We also distributed aid to 75 residents in Mautapaga, South Ende, Ende Regency, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The aid provided was in the form of basic necessities, thread and cloth aid for small weaving businesses in Mautapaga Village,” he said.

Finally, his party also provided assistance with 100 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) and changes of clothing for medical personnel at the Athlete’s House on December 10 2020.

He said this assistance followed the delivery of 1000 PPE for medical personnel through Baznas and PMI South Jakarta at the start of the pandemic.

“This assistance is also a continuation of the assistance packages since the beginning of the pandemic, including internet quota packages for teaching teachers, basic food assistance for informal workers and ready-to-eat food for scavengers and street children,” said Chrisbiantoro.

“We are trying to provide the best according to our abilities to help people affected by Covid 19. We hope that every assistance we provide will be useful in easing the burden on the community,” he added.

Meanwhile, representative of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari hopes that the assistance will have a positive impact on society, especially children in need.

“We are committed that every investment we make can have a positive impact on social change. Hopefully the pandemic will pass quickly and everyone will be given health,” said Dwi Laksmi Anggita Sari.

Meanwhile, Kimnavia Sukerman as coordinator of aid distribution in Ende Flores said that the assistance of looms and basic necessities would be very beneficial for the community.

“Moreover, many small communities are having difficulties during the pandemic,” added Kimnavia Sukerman.

A similar thing was conveyed by the Coordinator of the Book Distribution and Fishermen’s Assistance Event, Novia Seni Astriani.

He revealed that his party had registered aid recipients.

So he was assured that the recipients of aid were people who really needed it.

“We provide the assistance to the right beneficiaries. We have surveyed and involved the local community to distribute assistance,” he explained.
