The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) is holding training in the clothing screen printing business and air conditioning service for inmates, the unemployed and the urban poor in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings.
“Participants are also given training on servicing, washing and filling AC freon,” said YIIM Management Chair, Chrisbiantoro Dewi Astari in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Chrisbiantoro said that the empowerment of poor, unemployed and assisted living groups utilized PT Insight Investment Management’s accountability funds for the community.
The training was held in two waves for the AC service business on March 4-6 at the YIIM Gran Wijaya Center Complex Office, South Jakarta and clothing screen printing training at the Central Jakarta I Correctional Center (Bapas) Office located at Jalan Percetakan Negara VIII No. 54 Rawasari Central Jakarta on March 9-13.
Chrisbiantoro said the training was to increase economic empowerment which is a human right to get work and a decent life for all citizens.
“This training is also in line with the government’s program on sustainable development, especially number 1, eliminating poverty and number 10, reducing social inequality,” said Chrisbiantoro.
Chrisbiantoro stated that YIIM has a passion for building entrepreneurship that is social in nature and has long-term benefits in growing the economy of Indonesian society.
The training participants received theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge from the instructor regarding AC repair and clothing screen printing techniques.
Chrisbiantoro said that training in AC service and clothing screen printing has prospects for small communities to become independent and has good market potential.
Previously, YIIM also trained poor urban communities and assisted residents through food or cake making entrepreneurship, coffee making, hair barbers, noodle businesses, and others.
