This time, YIIM held hair shaving training for the unemployed in the Central Jakarta area.

This community empowerment activity was stated by YIIM Secretary Dewi Astari to be supported by PT Insight Investment Management as YIIM’s main partner.

YIIM said he invited a number of residents from various backgrounds, namely young people who had dropped out of school, casual workers, unemployed people to former inmates from the Central Jakarta Correctional Center (Bapas) (Bapas).

“This training for prospective barbers is the first batch (group) for the 2020 program year, the participants who took part in the training consisted of 15 people with various backgrounds,” he said in a written broadcast on Tuesday (11/2/2020).

On this occasion, Dewi Astari said that the training was held for five days, starting from Monday (10/2/2020) to Friday (14/2/2020).

Through this training, his party hopes to provide residents with basic shaving skills.

So, he continued, they can open a simple shaving business in the future.

“YIIM has a focus, one of which is in the field of economic empowerment, and the empowerment we carry out focuses on the urban and rural economy. For the urban economy, one of them is barber training,” said Dewi Astari.

“We hope that the participants who take part in the training will benefit and become independent as entrepreneurs in the barbering sector,” he added.
