Assistance was provided to 350 heads of families (KK) or around 800 people in RT 3 and RT 4/RW 11. 100 of them were toddlers.

Floods in the area submerged hundreds of residents’ houses with a height of more than two meters.

Aid was transported using two box trucks, containing food and medicine.

“We provide baby porridge, baby diapers, rice, liquid milk, energy, mineral water, medicines in the form of eucalyptus oil, telon oil, then ready-to-eat food,” said YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro, Monday (6/1/2020).

According to Chris, his party gives priority to toddlers because their condition is very vulnerable to infectious diseases, and there are concerns about being infected with malnutrition.

“We are also concerned about the flood disaster that befell the residents. Hopefully we can all recover, and the aid we are distributing can ease the burden on residents, especially toddlers who are affected by the flood,” he said.

During the activity, YIIM’s partner, PT Insight Investment Management, also provided assistance to flood victims.

“Hopefully the burden on residents will be lighter with this assistance and they will be able to carry out their activities as before,” said Insight representative, Budi Cahaya.
