The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

More than a thousand live pharmacy plants were planted on Jalan Inspeksi Ciliwung which crosses RT 03 and RT 04/RW 11, Bukit Duri Village, Tebet, South Jakarta.

The plant planting was initiated by the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) and Insight Investment Management (IIM)

In this activity entitled “Ciliwung Berseri”, YIIM and IIM collaborate with the local government, both sub-districts and RW and RT.

YIIM Chairman Chrisbiantoro said that the main aim of this activity was to reforest the Ciliwung River Watershed (DAS).

“Later, the results will be for the residents, all of these belong to the residents,” said Chrisbiantoro when met at the location, Sunday (24/11/2019).

He added that local residents are allowed to reproduce the seeds of these plants.

“If you want to reproduce it later, if you want to plant each seed, please go ahead. The point is, we will manage this together,” he said.

Some types of plants given include eggplant, chili, turmeric, galangal, grass jelly, aloe vera and citronella.

“This program is a continuation of the reforestation of the Citarum watershed, planting 500 avocado trees in April 2019 in the Citarum watershed, Bandung,” said Chrisbiantoro.

“This is also the second environmental program after cleaning coral reefs on Tunda Island last October,” he added.
