Strengthening teacher competencies amid rapid technological advances and Artificial Intelligence (AI) serves as a vital strategic pillar for creating adaptive education ecosystems. Preparing for this milestone, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) and INSPIRASI Foundation conducted a preparatory audience for the GEMA Program: DigiResilience Educator Fellowship with the West Bandung Regency Education Office on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.

The joint delegation was received directly by the Head of the West Bandung Regency Education Office, Edy Syafrudin, S.Pd., M.A.P., at the Education Office meeting hall in West Bandung. This meeting marked an active cross-sector collaboration to strengthen regional educators’ readiness in leading technology-driven classroom instruction.

Fostering Digital Learning Leaders

During the session, YIIM and INSPIRASI Foundation introduced the core design of the GEMA Program as a sustainable professional development fellowship for educators. The program focuses on nurturing Digital Learning Leaders: proactive teachers capable of integrating digital technology and AI tools into learning environments effectively, safely, ethically, and with a steadfast student-centered focus.

This approach positions teachers not merely as passive technology users, but as learning leaders capable of creating interactive and meaningful learning experiences for their students.

Three Core Training Pillars

The GEMA Program is structured around three foundational learning pillars:

  • Digital Leadership: Developing teacher leadership skills to drive pedagogical innovation and inspire collaborative learning communities across schools.
  • Techno-Pedagogy and AI: Equipping educators with modern pedagogical methodologies and responsible generative AI skills to design adaptive instructional materials and assessments.
  • Ethics and Resilience: Building a grounded understanding of digital ethics, student data privacy, academic integrity, and personal resilience in navigating digital transformation.

Aligning Program Implementation with Regional Needs

The meeting also addressed fellowship participant selection criteria, schedule alignment with the West Bandung regional academic calendar, and practical monitoring mechanisms for evaluating classroom impact.

This technical coordination ensures that fellowship activities integrate smoothly into existing school schedules while responding directly to the everyday pedagogical challenges encountered by local educators.

Supporting Educational Transformation Through Collaboration

The GEMA Program represents active support for national educational digitalization priorities and the Universal Participation Movement (Gerakan Partisipasi Semesta) led by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. This partnership also reflects the collaborative spirit fostered through the Multi-Stakeholder Forum of the Indonesian Philanthropy Association (Perhimpunan Filantropi Indonesia).

Through this fellowship, YIIM and INSPIRASI Foundation remain dedicated to cultivating a regional network of DigiResilience Educators who drive transformative, collaborative, and sustainable digital learning.

This initiative contributes directly to SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Salam Inspirasi!
