Pemotongan tumpeng syukuran 12 tahun YIIM bersama perwakilan KLHK, Kemenko PMK, dan PT Insight Investments Management

Marking 12 years of dedicated service, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) officially opened Festival Inspirasi 2026 at Taman Bendera Pusaka, South Jakarta, on Friday, August 7, 2026. Featuring a dedicated session titled Kiprah YIIM, the gathering brought together foundation founders, corporate partners, government officials, academics, and program alumni to reflect on a decade-long journey of sustainable community empowerment.

The opening ceremony commenced with a keynote address delivered by Lu’lu Agustina, Head of the Environmental Generation Development Center. The celebration proceeded with a traditional tumpeng-cutting ritual as an expression of gratitude for the foundation’s consistent contributions over the past twelve years. This milestone underscored the institution’s readiness to expand its social impact and address evolving community needs across Indonesia.

Reflecting on 12 Years of Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration

The trajectory and strategic milestones of the organization were examined in an interactive panel discussion moderated by Executive Director of Yayasan INSPIRASI Patrya Pratama. The panel featured YIIM Founder Irfan Melayu, PT Insight Investments Management Marketing Director Ria Meristika Warganda, and Assistant Deputy for Social Protection and Assistance at Kemenko PMK Dr. Trukan Sri Bahukeling.

During his remarks, Irfan Melayu highlighted the founding philosophy of the organization and the evolution of its community-driven programs. He emphasized that genuine empowerment must move beyond short-term charitable relief. Interventions must equip individuals with practical vocational skills, capital access, business mentorship, and self-reliance to foster long-term community resilience.

Representing the private sector, Ria Meristika Warganda detailed PT Insight Investments Management’s ongoing commitment to channeling socially responsible investment returns into community development programs through YIIM. Mutual trust, shared developmental values, and measurable social impact serve as the pillars sustaining this impactful public-private collaboration.

Dr. Trukan Sri Bahukeling shared the governmental perspective, emphasizing the vital role civil society organizations play in complementing national social assistance policies. Cross-sector synergy remains essential for accelerating poverty alleviation, protecting vulnerable populations, and advancing inclusive human capital development.

Real Stories of Self-Reliance from Program Alumni

The enduring impact of these programs came alive as four alumni shared their journeys from vocational trainees to self-sufficient contributors:

  • Ponco Sunarto, a barista vocational graduate who steadily built his craft to become a respected Head Barista in the hospitality sector.
  • Asep Suryana, a Beasiswa Inspirasi scholarship alumnus who completed higher education and now actively dedicates his academic background to rural community service.
  • Bambang Setiadji, an AC maintenance training alumnus who established a thriving independent repair business and now serves as a certified technical trainer for YIIM.
  • Syaifullah, a barber training graduate who successfully launched his own barbershop, created employment opportunities for local youth, and conducts free haircuts for marginalized communities.

These individual journeys demonstrate that targeted vocational education can transform program participants into active changemakers within their wider communities.

Building Sustainable Partnerships for Future Impact

The Opening of Festival Inspirasi 2026 reaffirmed the dedication of YIIM and its partners to expand social entrepreneurship initiatives, green vocational training, and inclusive economic opportunities. By deepening cross-sector alliances, the foundation continues its mission to foster independent, prosperous, and self-reliant communities.

This initiative directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Salam Inspirasi!
