Gempita Ramadhan Brings Spiritual Learning and Care to Street Children
Through GEMPITA RAMADHAN, YIIM collaborated with Tasawuf Underground and PT Insight Investments Management to provide spiritual learning and 50 personal hygiene kits for the punk community and street children in South Tangerang.
As part of the Gerakan Menginspirasi untuk Pemberdayaan dan Transformasi Asa Ramadhan (GEMPITA RAMADHAN) program, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) together with Tasawuf Underground organized a meaningful social initiative on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Tasawuf Underground Islamic Boarding School.
Tasawuf Underground is a community, educational institution, social empowerment center, and Islamic boarding school founded by Halim Ambiya. It serves as a sanctuary and transformation center for punk youths and marginalized communities seeking positive life changes through spiritual guidance, formal and non-formal education, and life skills empowerment.
Held during the blessed month of Ramadan, this program delivered a short boarding school (pesantren kilat) curriculum and personal hygiene assistance. The initiative aimed to enrich spiritual understanding, promote personal cleanliness, and deliver genuine care and moral encouragement to individuals on their self-development journey.
YIIM and its main partner, PT Insight Investments Management, donated 50 personal hygiene kits containing essential toiletries. This support aims to foster daily hygiene habits while boosting participants’ self-confidence, dignity, and sense of belonging.
The agenda featured interactive learning sessions, discussions on noble life values, shared prayers, and warm community meals. Participants eagerly engaged in reflective dialogues, sharing life experiences and spiritual aspirations in an inclusive, non-judgmental environment.
This collaboration reflects YIIM and Insight Investments Management’s ongoing commitment to supporting marginalized groups, fostering human dignity, and creating opportunities for inclusive empowerment.
This program contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1: No Poverty, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
