Urban Farming and Waste Sorting Training Promotes Green Living in South Jakarta
YIIM and Insight trained 35 urban residents in organic waste sorting, composting, and rooftop vegetable farming to build sustainable, self-sufficient neighborhoods.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management held an Urban Farming and Household Waste Sorting Workshop for 35 residents in South Jakarta.
The program equipped participants with practical skills in separating organic kitchen waste, using composter bins, creating natural organic liquid fertilizer (POC), and cultivating fresh vegetables in vertical and rooftop gardens.
YIIM also provided composting tools, seedling trays, soil mixes, and vegetable seeds to create communal green spaces in the neighborhood.
This initiative supports SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 13: Climate Action.
Inspiration Greetings!
