Digital Payment Business Grant Drives Economic Inclusion for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities
Entrepreneurs with disabilities received digital payment kiosk devices, working capital, and retail counters to operate electronic top-up and payment service ventures.
The Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management distributed Digital Transaction Business Starter Grants to entrepreneurs with physical disabilities in East Jakarta.
The assistance package provided each beneficiary with a commercial digital point-of-sale smartphone, portable thermal Bluetooth receipt printer, initial working capital deposit for mobile top-ups and bill payments (PPOB), a branded display counter, and a canopy umbrella.
This business model was specially chosen for its high commercial accessibility, low physical barrier, and steady recurring neighborhood demand for phone credit, electricity tokens, water utility payments, and digital wallet top-ups.
Recipients also received technical operational training and cash-flow accounting guidance from YIIM mentors to ensure smooth daily transactions and proper reinvestment of earnings.
This intervention advances inclusive economic growth under SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
