Pemberdayaan Posyandu Kencana I Petogogan YIIM

Equitable access to primary healthcare and balanced child nutrition are vital cornerstones for fostering healthy, thriving future generations. At the grassroots level, Integrated Healthcare Posts (Posyandu) stand as the front line for monitoring infant and toddler growth, preventing stunting, and providing nutritional guidance to mothers and families.

Demonstrating sustained dedication to maternal and child healthcare in urban communities, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun / YIIM) implemented a comprehensive empowerment initiative for Posyandu Kencana I, located in Petogogan Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

The initiative commenced with the symbolic handover of essential toddler health examination instruments on 17 June 2019, followed by ongoing nutritional intervention through monthly Supplementary Feeding (PMT) programs over six consecutive months.

During the routine growth checkup on 9 July 2019, YIIM representatives partnered with local healthcare cadres to distribute nutritious fresh fruit juice packages and balanced dietary supplements to dozens of toddlers following their weight, height, and head circumference assessments.

Through this dual approach of upgrading medical inspection tools and providing continuous supplemental nutrition, YIIM strives to reinforce the operational capacity of Posyandu Kencana I, ensuring accurate child growth monitoring, early detection of nutritional challenges, and elevated community health standards across Petogogan.

This program contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Inspiration Greetings!
