Sharing Happiness In The Andara Scavenger Village
In the spirit of Ramadhan which is full of blessings, the Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) again held a social action in the GEMPITA Ramadhan program.
In the spirit of Ramadhan which is full of blessings, the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) again held a social action in the GEMPITA Ramadhan program. This activity took place on Friday, March 14 2025, at the Andara Scavenger Village, South Jakarta.
Andara Scavenger Village is a community where the majority of residents work as scavengers and face limited access to basic facilities. Every day, they struggle to meet their living needs amidst difficult social and economic conditions. Through this program, YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) want to share happiness and provide a little relief for the residents of Andara Scavenger Village in this blessed month.
The activity started with a free hair shaving service which was immediately welcomed with enthusiasm by residents. Not only children and teenagers, parents also take advantage of this service. They eagerly queue to get a haircut, enjoying a simple moment that provides comfort and refreshment. Parents accompanying their children also felt the atmosphere of togetherness, chatting with each other while waiting for their turn.
After the hair shaving session was finished, the activity continued with the distribution of 50 iftar packages. The YIIM team, assisted by the partner Berbagi Breakfast, distributed breaking the fast packages to the residents of Andara Scavenger Village. The distribution process took place in an orderly and warm manner.
Apart from providing direct benefits to the community, this activity is also part of YIIM’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in reducing hunger (SDG No. 2) and strengthening partnerships for the common good (SDG No. 17).
Through GEMPITA Ramadhan, YIIM hopes to foster a spirit of sharing and mutual cooperation in society. With this spirit, it is hoped that more and more parties will be inspired to take part in social actions that provide real benefits for others.
