The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM), through the Humanitarian and Religious Social Program supported by PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (Insight IM), plays an active role in providing humanitarian and religious social support. One of them is providing support for the 2024 Clean Water Alms Program for Caring People Solidarity in Puring Hamlet, Sah Raja Village, Pante Bidari District, East Aceh Regency.

This program supports one of the government’s three priority programs, namely superior Human Resources (HR), where access to clean water and adequate sanitation are key factors determining the quality of a person’s health. This program is also in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs no. 3 regarding health, namely ensuring a healthy life and improving health/well-being at all ages and SDGs no. 6 ensuring the availability and sustainable management of clean water and sanitation for all.

Clean water is a basic need that is very important for human life and environmental sustainability. However, in various regions, especially remote areas, access to clean water is a serious challenge. In Indonesia, this problem also covers many areas, where people still have difficulty getting water suitable for consumption. Puring Hamlet is also in an area where clean water supplies are difficult during the dry season. Local residents are having difficulty finding clean water for their daily needs because the water sources in the area are experiencing drought.

The process of providing clean water began on 09 November 2024 and was completed on 17 November 2024. Procurement of assistance in the form of drilled wells, water towers and piping. The drilled well has a depth of 30 meters and a tower with a clean water capacity of 5000 liters. Maintenance of the drilled well, whether the engine or electricity supply, will be the responsibility of the residents of Puring Hamlet. A total of 50 heads of families who received benefits were affected by the clean water assistance from the YIIM and Insight IM clean water alms program.

Before there was assistance in providing drilled wells, residents had difficulty getting clean water. After the assistance of the beneficiaries to obtain clean water for their daily needs and also during the dry season, water needs can be met for the residents of Puring Hamlet.

YIIM as a non-profit organization is open to support and collaboration with any party so that more and more people can benefit from YIIM’s programs and the wider the inspiration that YIIM can spread to help develop Indonesia.
