On October 10 2023, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) provided social entrepreneurship management and financial literacy training to members of the Bekasi City Mosque Taklim Council (BKMM) Coordinating Board.

This training aims to increase financial management knowledge and skills, as well as encourage social entrepreneurship among Bekasi City BKMM members. This training is part of the Social Entrepreneurship program which has been running since August. This series of activities consists of practical skills training sessions, including sewing dolls, producing frozen food, and making cookies. This program involves more than 85 participants spread throughout Bekasi City.

Several participants said that they experienced direct positive benefits from this training.

“As housewives we have a lot of free time, so it feels good when we can take part in training like this, apart from filling our free time, it is very useful for increasing knowledge and skills,” said Nur

“I immediately tried to apply the baking training and then, thank God, I have sold 7 jars, in the future I want to develop this business even bigger,” said Ita

Apart from that, the closing of this activity was attended by the Head of the Training and Productivity Development Division of the Bekasi City Employment Service, in his speech he said:

“It’s great that there is training provided directly to the community by YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT), the government needs a lot of support to help provide training and skills for the community to achieve shared prosperity. It is hoped that programs like this can continue and be expanded both in terms of regions and targets.”

This program is also part of YIIM and Insight’s commitment to support Sustainable Development Goal Number 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth and Number 5, namely Gender Equality, and is a form of PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL). It is hoped that this program can inspire various broader elements who care about economic and social empowerment to improve community welfare.
