The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with the Central Jakarta Class I Fathers are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

Hundreds of inmates and unemployed residents have taken part in job training programs organized by the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM).

Residents have participated in several job training courses since 2019, such as cooking training, barber training, and becoming a barista. This was said by Chrisbiantoro, chairman of the Indonesia Developing Management Foundation, Wednesday (11/3/2020).

“We are focusing on economic empowerment for the lower classes. We are collaborating with the Central Jakarta correctional center,” he said.

For training as a bartender, 15 people from the unemployed, inmates to casual workers usually take part. They will be trained for six months.

“After being trained, we took six of them to participate in an internship program at the learning cafe at the YIIM office in South Jakarta. They interned for six months,” he said. After completing the internship, they will be selected again so that they are finally declared to have passed the internship process.

“So in our office downstairs there is an inspirational coffee cafe. Well, that’s what our alumni run. There are inmates, punk kids, there are those who are unemployed looking for work and can’t get it,” he said. For cooking training, the party did not carry out a similar selection.

“When it comes to cooking, there are no apprentices, as soon as the training is finished we immediately let them go,” he said.

Not only are they equipped with skills, they are also equipped with equipment to open a business.

Currently, Chrisbiantoro is providing training on AC repair and fabric screen printing. The training just started this week and will last until March 14 2019.

He guaranteed that the training was free and open to the public.
