On Thursday, 12 October 2023, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management collaborated with Carenang District to hold makeup-skills training under the theme of entrepreneurship and local economic growth.

The course ran from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and involved 25 women and young women from Dharma Wanita Persatuan and representatives of early-childhood education school heads across Carenang.

Alvinna Amir, Chair of Carenang Dharma Wanita Persatuan, thanked YIIM and Insight and encouraged participants to practice the skills repeatedly, share them with relatives and neighbours, and use them as a path toward economic independence and stronger family income.

Isnaeni Setiawan, Insight’s CSR Coordinator, described the course as the partners’ second meeting with the Carenang community and part of Insight’s responsibility to investors and society. He hoped the partnership would continue with training based on community needs and emphasized that committed participants were essential to achieving meaningful impact.

Imam Fadchurrozi, Secretary of YIIM, said the organization had delivered social-enterprise training in various regions and hoped the Carenang course would generate new initiatives and businesses with positive local effects.

The trainer was Regita Cahyani, a YIIM makeup-training alumna, BNSP-certified professional, and owner of Gitaacms Wedding. She was supported by an assistant trainer. Participants received a YIIM training module and makeup kits supplied in cooperation with Mazaya.

The curriculum covered facial skin, makeup tools, face cleansing, product application, and independent practice based on a live demonstration. Trainers checked participants’ results and provided individual guidance. The closing discussion addressed makeup techniques, foundation for different skin types, the challenges of professional practice, and how to operate a makeup business.

The program supported women’s economic independence, local entrepreneurship, and the development of practical skills that participants could use and share.
