YIIM Webinar Series 3 Helps Young People Build Strong Financial Foundations
YIIM and Insight Investments Management introduced 33 young participants to personal financial management, investment-industry careers, and professional qualifications in finance.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM), with support from PT Insight Investments Management, continued its online learning program for young people through YIIM Webinar Series 3. Held on 12 March 2026, the session carried the theme “Building Financial Foundations Early.”
The webinar featured Riva Kusumo, who introduced participants to the importance of financial literacy and its role in creating a more stable future. The discussion framed financial capability as more than saving or investing: it also requires thoughtful management of income, spending, priorities, and longer-term goals.
Participants explored delayed gratification – the ability to postpone an immediate purchase or pleasure in support of a larger future objective. They also learned how cash-flow management can help individuals understand where their money goes, plan spending, and make financial decisions more deliberately.
The session broadened the discussion from personal finance to career opportunities in investment management. Riva introduced roles such as institutional dealer, sales trader, and investment specialist, while explaining that careers in finance require a sound understanding of investment concepts and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Participants also learned about professional qualifications including Certified Financial Planner and Qualified Wealth Planner. These certifications were presented as potential additions to the knowledge and credibility of people interested in building careers in financial planning, wealth management, or investment services.
The webinar was attended by 33 participants from varied backgrounds, most of whom were university students or young people preparing to enter the workforce. Their questions and active discussion covered both personal money management and the competencies needed to pursue careers in the financial sector.
Through the program, YIIM sought to help young people make wiser financial decisions and prepare for stronger futures. The activity contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by expanding access to financial and career learning, and Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by introducing professional pathways and capabilities relevant to the finance industry.
