Festival Inspirasi 2026 brought sustainable living into a shared public space where government, business, communities, academia, social organizations, micro and small enterprises, and residents could learn from one another and turn environmental awareness into practical action.

Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) held the two-day festival on Friday and Saturday, 7 and 8 August 2026, at Taman Bendera Pusaka in South Jakarta. The event carried the theme Sustainable Living for All: Cross-Sector Collaboration to Advance Sustainable Lifestyles and marked YIIM’s 12th anniversary.

PT Insight Investments Management supported the program alongside the Jakarta Provincial Government, the Ministry of Environment, the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and ILUNI SIL UI.

The anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on 12 years of YIIM programs in education, community empowerment, humanitarian support, and environmental action. It also highlighted a central lesson from that work: social and environmental challenges cannot be addressed by one organization acting alone.

Irfan Melayu, Founder and member of YIIM’s Board of Trustees, explained that meaningful change grows from trust, care, and collaboration. Through Festival Inspirasi, YIIM sought to create a meeting place where more people and institutions could exchange ideas, identify shared responsibilities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The festival combined discussion with direct experience. Visitors joined talk shows and demonstrations of good practices, took part in creative workshops that transformed used materials, received guidance on more responsible consumption, and accessed repair services intended to extend the useful life of everyday goods.

A showcase area and collaborator booths presented the work of YIIM-supported MSMEs, communities, partner institutions, and responsible businesses. Participants introduced products, practical solutions, and community initiatives that linked environmental responsibility with livelihoods and inclusive economic opportunity.

Lu’lu Agustina, Head of the Environmental Generation Development Centre, emphasized that sustainable living must be possible for everyone. She highlighted the importance of supportive policy, public participation, youth awareness of fast fashion, and inclusive opportunities in green employment.

The government also recognized the strategic role of social organizations in expanding the reach of community programs. Trukan Sri Bahukeling, Assistant for Social Protection and Assistance at the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment, noted that large social movements require broad engagement so their activities can connect with public priorities and benefit more communities.

Ria M. Warganda, Director of PT Insight Investments Management, underlined the importance of consistent cooperation among social organizations, the private sector, communities, and the public. She described the festival as a place where commitments could become concrete action and where new partnerships with long-term potential could begin.

The event also reflected 12 years of partnership between YIIM and PT Insight Investments Management. Under the principle Transforming Investment into Social Impact, the collaboration has connected investment activity with social and sustainability initiatives. The InvestasiIN application extends this approach by enabling members of the public to invest while participating in social and environmental contributions and supporting the growth of Indonesia’s sustainable capital-market ecosystem.

Festival Inspirasi 2026 demonstrated that sustainable living is not only an individual choice. People need accessible knowledge, supportive systems, repair and reuse options, responsible products, inclusive green livelihoods, and institutions willing to work together.

By connecting education, practical experience, public participation, and cross-sector partnerships, the festival helped make sustainability part of everyday life and opened opportunities for new collaboration toward a greener, more inclusive, and more resilient future.

The program contributes to SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
