The Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Insight Investments Management (INSIGHT) (INSIGHT) are always committed to supporting the strengthening of community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

A total of 280 informal workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic received assistance in the form of packed rice. This assistance is provided to informal workers such as buskers, traders, scavengers and online motorcycle taxi drivers who are still working. The packaged rice was distributed to several points including Pasar Senen, Bendungan Hilir, Rawasari Cempaka Putih, Margonda, Kukusan, Beji Depok, Palmerah, Bekasi and Kemanggisan.

Not only that, all the packaged rice was bought from several small rice stalls. This is also part of the assistance for small shop owners to earn income. Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) and PT. Insight Investments Management as the donor said that informal workers are one of the layers of society affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. “For this reason, we want to synergize with the government to ease the burden, especially on informal workers,” said Chrisbiantoro as chairman of YIIM, Tuesday (14/3/2020). He hopes that this assistance can ease the burden on residents who are still looking for a living amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, the central government through the Ministry of Social Affairs and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government had distributed social assistance in the form of basic food packages. This assistance is provided to people whose economy is affected by Covid-19. This aid package has now been given to several sub-districts in Jakarta
