The Indonesia Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) together with PT Pertamina Training and Consulting are always committed to supporting strengthening community independence through a series of inclusive and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

KBRN, Jakarta: PT Pertamina’s subsidiary, Pertamina Training & Consulting (PTC), together with the Indonesian Building Inspiration Foundation (YIIM) provided capital assistance for business equipment for alumni of the Barista Coffee entrepreneurship class, Frozen Food Culinary and hydroponic organic vegetable cultivation through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) scheme.

The Main Director of PT Pertamina Training and Consulting, Teuku Mirasfi, said that this was the closing of the training program through the TJSL scheme, namely by providing grant assistance for frozen food, coffee barista and hydroponic business capital equipment.

“We hope that this assistance can be utilized as well as possible for the benefit of developing entrepreneurship and helping all of our friends in strengthening the family economy amidst difficult economic conditions due to the pandemic,” he said when handing over the assistance at the PT PTC Office, Petojo Selatan, Central Jakarta, as quoted by RRI.co.id, Wednesday (8/12/2021).

Meanwhile, Acting VP CSR SMEPP PT. Pertamina Persero Dian Hapsari Firasati, who was also present at the event location, said that the beneficiaries of this program are subjects, not objects, so they must innovate and develop businesses to improve welfare.

“This program is not charity but rather an empowerment program whose hope is to help the beneficiaries in a sustainable manner with the business they are engaged in,” he said.

On the same occasion, Chrisbiantoro as Chairman of the YIIM Management, expressed his gratitude for holding the social entrepreneurship training program.

“Thank you to Pertamina and PTC for helping beneficiaries from various backgrounds through the Social and Environmental Responsibility program. We hope that we can help more underprivileged, less fortunate and people with disabilities for empowerment,” he said.

For your information, through the TJSL scheme, PT PTC partners with YIIM to empower the community to achieve family economic independence through entrepreneurship.

Apart from being given training, the best selected participants who had gone through various processes received grant assistance for business capital equipment packages for 18 alumni training participants.

The skills training will start from 27 August 2021 to 1 October 2021, both online and offline, with 124 participants out of a total of 18,047 registrants.

A total of 124 people consisted of 17 hydroponic training participants, 62 coffee barista training participants and 45 frozen food training participants.

The beneficiaries of this program are people from underprivileged backgrounds, groups of housewives, people with disabilities who don’t have jobs, workers affected by layoffs, former prison residents, young people who have dropped out of school, and underprivileged families.

This program is also a concrete form of supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the categories of Handling Climate Change and Economic Growth.

PTC and YIIM as implementing partners provided business capital equipment grant assistance to 18 participants consisting of 6 packages of frozen food business capital equipment grant assistance in the form of freezers, vacuum food sealers, expiration code machines, blenders and stoves; 4 packages of grant assistance for capital equipment for a coffee barista business, 8 packages of grant assistance for tools for hydroponic farming in the form of 5 installation packages each of paralon, water pump, bucket, netpot, PH meter, TDS meter, rockwool, nutrients and vegetable seeds.

The event was also attended by 11 beneficiaries representing the coffee barista, hydroponic and frozen food culinary classes.

Also giving testimonials about the benefits of the training results for the businesses they started were Ambar Yuliasiwi (starting a frozen food business), Aries Andriyanto (a person with disabilities starting a coffee business and Budi from the Indonesian Mandiri Disabled Foundation (YDMI) who started actively cultivating hydroponic organic vegetables.

Currently there are 21 training alumni who have started applying the knowledge gained during the training, namely some have started independent small businesses, there are also those who are carrying out business innovations and there are also beneficiaries who work as coffee baristas to gain experience. This entrepreneurship training is in line and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 1, 2, 8, 10 and 17 which have been proclaimed by the government as Presidential Regulation Number 59 of 2017 concerning Implementation of the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

Through this synergy and initiative, the Indonesian Inspiration for Building Foundation (YIIM) hopes that the programs implemented can provide real benefits, open up wider opportunities for independence for participants, and actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
