Young participants attend thalassaemia education and screening in Bandung

Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that poses significant health and socio-economic challenges if not detected early. To raise public awareness and prevent transmission, Yayasan Inspirasi Indonesia Membangun (YIIM) and PT Insight Investments Management organized a Thalassemia Education and Pre-Marital Screening Campaign in Bandung.

The campaign gathered over 100 students, youth, and prospective couples for educational seminars led by hematologists, explaining inheritance patterns, carrier traits, and the importance of pre-marital screening.

Free blood screening tests were provided to identify trait carriers, accompanied by professional medical counseling.

This initiative supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being by promoting preventive healthcare and reducing hereditary disease incidence.

Inspiration Greetings!
