Inclusive Makeup Artistry Training Builds Vocational Skills and Confidence
Fifteen women from diverse backgrounds, including persons with disabilities and single mothers, completed intensive makeup training to establish freelance beauty enterprises.

To foster inclusive economic opportunities, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM) in partnership with PT Insight Investments Management conducted an Intensive Makeup Artistry Training program in South Jakarta.
The training welcomed 15 women participants, including persons with disabilities, single mothers, and youth from economically vulnerable backgrounds. Over the course of the multi-day curriculum, participants learned skin preparation, foundation matching, contouring techniques, daily and bridal makeup, hygienic tool sanitation, and client consultation best practices.
Each participant received a complete professional makeup starter kit containing cosmetic palettes, brush sets, and vanity lighting tools to enable immediate freelance work upon graduation. The curriculum also incorporated practical modules on social media marketing, pricing strategies, and portfolio development.
Lead instructor emphasized the remarkable enthusiasm and creative talent demonstrated by the trainees, highlighting how vocational beauty skills offer highly flexible home-based income streams for women entrepreneurs.
This inclusive training supports SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Inspiration Greetings!
