Inauguration of the rebuilt Tunas Karya Kindergarten in Cianjur

On Thursday, 2 November 2023, the Indonesian Inspiration Building Foundation (YIIM), PT Insight Investments Management, and the Plantation Pension Fund (DAPENBUN) officially inaugurated the newly rebuilt TK Tunas Karya school on Jalan Sukamulya, Kebun Gedeh, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java.

The reconstruction was initiated in response to the devastating Cianjur earthquake on 21 November 2022, which destroyed the previous school structure and halted safe educational activities for young children. Construction commenced in June 2023 under Insight’s CSR program in partnership with DAPENBUN and PT Nusantara Niaga Agro.

The inauguration was attended by Dian Hadiana Arief (SEVP Asset Management of PTPN VIII), Hudi Prihmono (Director of Operations at DAPENBUN), Ki Agus Riki Ridwan Rahman (President Director of PT Nusantara Niaga Agro), Isnaeni Setiawan (CSR Coordinator at Insight), Imam Fadchurrodzi (Secretary of YIIM), Mochamad Mulyadi (Kebun Gedeh Manager), alongside teachers and pupils.

The school pupils welcomed guests with vibrant traditional dance performances. The partners handed over a permanent, fully electrified school facility featuring two versatile classrooms divided by flexible partitions, a teacher’s room, a library, a kitchen, and two clean sanitation units.

This new facility ensures that young children and educators can resume teaching and learning in a safe, resilient, and dignified educational environment, advancing SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 11: Sustainable Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Inspiration Greetings!
